COVID-19
Your safety is our main concern. To ensure that your Curvy Surfer Girl Retreat is the best, we will be following all COVID-19 regulations. We have gathered the latest information so you can ensure the best measures.
Curvy Surfer Girl Protocol:
Hand sanitizer in your swag bag upon your arrival
We will observe the 6’ distance rule whenever possible.
Masks will be worn at all times outside our rooms except in the water and while eating.
Participant Protocol:
Curvy Surfer Girl requires all guests to confirm no cold or flu-like symptoms 48 hours from arrival. Curvy Surfer Girl will not be held responsible if you have to cancel your retreat for any reason.
We ask guests to be respectful of other guests and staff. Please keep a safe distance and please consider your retreat crew your bubble.
When leaving your room, masks are required.
Unfortunately, testing is not a perfect solution. There is always a potential for exposure during travel. Please take all precautions before arriving. Travel is at your own risk and Curvy Surfer Girl cannot be held responsible under any circumstances if a guest contracts the virus.
Traveling to Hawaii
We want to ensure that all travelers remain safe and healthy. For this reason, travelers are strongly advised to take a pre-travel COVID-19 test from a trusted testing and travel partner PRIOR to the final leg of their trip to the State of Hawai‘i. Trans-Pacific travelers arriving WITHOUT a confirmed negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of departure are subject to a mandatory 10-day quarantine.
All travelers must have a negative test result BEFORE beginning the final leg of their trip. Anyone without a negative test result PRIOR to departure must quarantine upon arrival.
The negative test result must be uploaded onto Safe Travels prior to departure or printed out prior to departure and a hard copy in hand when arriving in Hawai’i.
Face masks are required during the flight as well as upon arrival at the Official Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL) airport.

These procedures are subject to change as new measures may be imposed by the Ministry of Health.
Venue protocol:
The Queen Kapiolani Hotel is staying up-to-date and going above and beyond the guidance from the World Health Organization (WHO), the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and state and local health officials to ensure the safety of our guests and team, including:
Increasing frequency of cleaning using hospital-grade disinfectants on all high-touch surfaces and areas such as the lobby, guest rooms, common spaces, recreational areas, public restrooms, elevators, and all employee areas.
Training our staff on comprehensive COVID-19 protocols, detailing protection against the transmission of the virus and procedures in the case of a suspected or confirmed case.
Requiring protective masks and other equipment to be worn by all hotel associates and all persons within the hotel’s public spaces, including guests and associates.
Placing hand sanitizer stations throughout our guest and employee areas and entrances.
Implementing social distancing signage, guidance, and spacing of furniture in all our public areas, including our pool and restaurant.
Enacting capacity restrictions in guest elevators.
Implementing enhanced food safety and hygiene protocols for all gathering spaces.
Mandatory mask enforcement within all public areas of the hotel.
Cancellation Policy
If any retreat attendee cancels for any reason there will be a 25% cancellation fee the remaining 75% will be refunded to the card on file. Exceptions to our policy cannot be made. There are no discounts for arriving late or leaving the retreat early.
Participant Agreement, Release, & Assumption of Risk.
In consideration of the services of Curvy Surfer Girl, their agents, participants, and all other persons or entities acting in any capacity on their behalf hereinafter referred to as CSG, I hereby agree to release, indemnify, and discharge CSG, on behalf of myself, my children, my parents, my heirs, assigns, personal representative and estate as follows: I acknowledge that my participation in surfing entails known and unanticipated risks that could result in physical or emotional injury, paralysis, death, or damage to myself, to property, or to third parties. I understand that such risks simply cannot be eliminated without jeopardizing the essential qualities of the activity. The risks include, among other things:
Being hit by the board, other surfers or their boards could result in cuts, bruises, or abrasions, and concussions; hitting the bottom of the ocean; sprains, strains, broken bones, paralysis, even death; exhaustion, dehydration, sunburn; exposure to poisonous and/or carnivorous sea creatures; and accidental drowning. Furthermore, CSG employees have difficult jobs to perform. They seek safety, but they are not infallible. They might be unaware of a participant’s fitness or abilities. They might misjudge the weather, the elements, or the terrain. They may give inadequate warnings or instructions, and the equipment being used might malfunction.
I expressly agree and promise to accept and assume all of the risks existing in this activity. My participation in this activity is purely voluntary, and I elect to participate in spite of the risks.
I hereby voluntarily release, forever discharge, and agree to indemnify and hold harmless CSG from any and all claims, demands, or causes of action, which are in any way connected with my participation in this activity or my use of CSG’s equipment or facilities, including any such claims which allege negligent acts or omissions of CSG.
Should CSG or anyone acting on their behalf, be required to incur attorney’s fees and costs to enforce this agreement, I agree to indemnify and hold them harmless for all such fees and costs.
I certify that I have adequate insurance to cover any injury or damage I may cause or suffer while participating, or else I agree to bear the costs of such injury or damage myself. I further certify that I am willing to assume the risk of any medical or physical condition I may have.
In the event that I file a lawsuit against CSG, I agree to do so solely in the state of Hawaii, and I further agree that the substantive law of that state shall apply in that action without regard to the conflict of law rules of that state. I agree that if any portion of this agreement is found to be void or unenforceable, the remaining portions shall remain in full force and effect. By providing a signature in this reservation form, I acknowledge that if anyone is hurt or property is damaged during my participation in this activity, I may be found by a court of law to have waived my right to maintain a lawsuit against CSG on the basis of any claim from which I have released them herein. By providing a signature in this reservation form, the participant, states that he/she:
has informed CSG, in writing, of any existing conditions that may be affected due to the nature of the program
is aware of and understands the potential hazards and risks, and 3 chooses to voluntarily participate. I have had sufficient opportunity to read this entire document. I have read and understood it, and I agree to be bound by its terms.
Release of Liability
The undersigned assumes all responsibility for and all risk of damage, injury, or loss of property that may occur to the undersigned as a participant in the Curvy Surfer Girl Retreat while using facilities, equipment, and as a participant in all CSG activities, included but not limited to: surfing, SUP yoga, swimming, scuba, surfing, etc…The undersigned hereby releases and discharges Curvy Surfer Girl, its faculty, staff, administrators, trustees, and employees from all claims, demands, rights or causes of action, present and future, whether known or unknown and resulting from the undersigned’s participation in the above-stated program.
Media Release Form
I acknowledge that I may be photographed or videotaped and displayed in any form or manner, including but not limited to books, displays, publications, magazines, advertisements, website, press releases, articles, promotions, promotional videos, etc…This footage may also be released to Curvy Surfer Girl affiliates and displayed in any form or manner, including but not limited to: books, displays, publications, ads, websites, press releases, articles promotions, promotional videos, etc…Your signature on your reservation form below releases all liability from Curvy Surfer Girl, including independent contractors, staff, accommodations location, and outside vendors.
